Social Enterprise for Refugee Women

Enterprise development for refugees and host community women and youth

Our Goal

HODARI Foundation’s Enterprise Programme aims to empower refugee women, providing opportunities for economic independence and social integration through entrepreneurial training, vocational skills and financial literacy, ensuring long-term success, dignity and self-reliance of refugee women. It also offers micro-grant loans to help women grow their businesses. As women repay loans, the funds are used to support other women in the community, promoting independence, self-reliance, and sustainable solutions.

Why We Do This

Lack of access to employment opportunities, especially for women refugees, has significantly contributed to issues like post-traumatic stress disorder, survival sex, and even suicidal thoughts, increasing their vulnerability. By leveraging their unique talents, these women not only contribute to their own livelihoods but also to the broader community.

What We Do

  • Identifying and nurturing unique talents,
  • Training in entrepreneurship and vocational skills,
  • Financial literacy training,
  • Facilitating seed capital to female-owned refugee-led businesses,
  • Creating a supportive environment where women can start their own businesses or gain employment.
