Regenerative agricultural design and innovative permaculture solutions for food security and climate change
HODARI Foundation’s Agriculture Programme aims to address food security and climate change, strengthening refugees’ resilience by promoting regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices, ensuring access to healthy, nutritious food and creating livelihood opportunities for all. Specifically, this programs aims to support refugee farmers, malnourished children, breastfeeding and pregnant mothers.
Uganda is experiencing significant impacts of climate change, including changing weather patterns, drop in water levels, and increased frequency of extreme weather events like floods and drought. The social economic impacts are making refugee and host communities more vulnerable.
We’re a refugee-led organisation fostering a culture of empowerment, for refugees to enjoy an equitable life, free from poverty, food insecurity and adaptive to climate change.
Your support helps empower refugee communities with sustainable farming, improve food security, and educate more refugee children.
